I took my 2000 srx out after siting for 2 years seems to run Dam good after minor wire fix but now I've got my heat light blinking at me at wide open throttle I think it flashing 3 times does anyone know what it could be and I'm only at 8100-8200 Rpms with the same clutch setup I ran last year clutch setup is 8bu-10 with 4.5 tip and washer. W-w-w spring and 51/43 helix with green spring Motor has about 15 000 kms not sure iff it was ever rebuilt so maybee motor is to weak to pull that weight not sure any help would be great guys thanx

That motor is just breaking in with those miles lol. Have you checked the harness for rub-thou?

when you get your flashing figured out, take your twist up 10 more degree,s on secondary. 8bu-10 fly. 3:16 (yammie tony)

check your switch for the thumb warmer, thats usually the three flash code. often confused with the temp sensor wire connection, thats a one long flash followed by three short flashes and a common problem on all yamaha 3 cylinder 2 strokes. wire breaks off in the connector. you need to pinpoint the flash sequence to figure out what the sled is telling you.

Ok thanx guys gonna take it out again on the weekend and see exactly how the flashes are and check the flash codes
