alright so i got my srx and it wouldnt idle right so i took the carbs off and cleaned them with compressed air and it still wouldnt stay running and now it wont start at all and if it will it just will run for ten seconds then die when it wont start and i take the plugs off they are really soaked could it just be bad plugs looking for any help i can get thanks
i am going to buy new plugs tommorow anyways cause they are pretty bad

You say you cleaned carbs with just compressed air? Sounds to me they are still dirty. You just pushed the dirt around. Each jet must be removed and checked, floats removed and screens cleaned, every passage has a ending. Stay carb cleaner through every one. If you did this I would do it again. New plugs won't do ya any good. Also how is your spark if they are wet? Search no spark and read Mr vipers post. Will fix bad spark also. Don't chase the problem start at carbs if not done like I described them check spark ect...

start with the obvious first..check fuel filter in tank if plugged badly due to bad ethanol fuels.Check the 3 umbrella like screens in the carbs where fuel inlet is and if the float pins are gummed up and not letting fuel by to fill the bowls. Then there is the vacuum line to check for cracks or pin holes..after that check if the fuel pump is pumping fuel.Make sure the pilot jets are not plugged and remove fuel screws and spray cleaner thru the openings and blow with air.Could be just a simple thing..but all should be looked at.Good luck!!!

well it was running but not idleing good so i dont think it would be spark i prob didnt clean the carbs good enough i will try again

so i got a chance to clean the carbs good yesterday one of the main jets was clogged and one of the pilots was went to start it it still wouldnt well the plugs were bad so i got new ones today and it started up first pull took it for a ride around it ran good made my old wildcat 700 feel like a kitty cat only problem i had was it started bogging and it was just the tors so i unpluged them and fixed it it runs great now thanks for the help Forums save lives!! we just need more than an inch of snow now!

Nice job! Most of the time the torrs is just a tight throttle cable after carb clean. I would hook it back up and loosen the throttle cable and see what ya get. The torrs is a great safety feature.

Absolutely^^^ There is also a good writeup in the tech section on how to clean the switch.

TORS can save the day. I wouldn't drive it too much with an inop TORS. And like super1c said, it's usually a tight / misadjusted throttle cable.
