Are skids pretty much interchangable as far as mounting them to the Mountain Max tun?

I bought a 2002 Mountain max and just got a 144 x 15 x 2 x 2.52 track. I was going to just do rail extensions, but now I might get a new skid to try and shed some weight. If I get a 144 skid from one of the other manufacturers (polaris, ac, doo), will they use the same holes in my tunnel as my current yamaha skid uses to mount? thanks.

Same holes as the pro-action - Not likely. Most of them are pretty easy to bolt in though with some measuring and drilling. I've done a couple of cat skids and a couple of Polaris ones into our various Yamaha's. Favorite so far was the Polaris/Holz extra lite that I had in my old srx.
