Hey guys this is a stupid question my gf has a 98 vmax 500 xtc and i just bought sum plastic skis off of ebay for it will my steel ski rubber boots work on the new plastic skis? or do i have to buy newer boots its like 2 degrees out and i dont have a garage so im going to have dig in to them as soon as we get a bit nicer weather lol

yes you can. I just trim off the front tab and keep the back tab and a shim. They will work fine and the shim gets rid of the darting.

perfect i actually shimmed the boots that are on the machine right now last winter and it helped alot with the darting thank you!
did you buy factory skis? or

Ahh yes good question. I just assumed he bought oem skis.

yes they were factory skis they poped right on!
