I cant locate a 108" track for my 1994 ovation without paying $600 for a new one. Someone suggested putting a 116" skid on it, making a new track much easier to find. Has anyone attempted this before? If so what skid would work in the tunnel? Any that would bolt right on?

i dont recall if the pz skid was a direct bolt in and i want to say not. there were a couple mount points that needed altered. as for the 116 tracks, how easily obtainable are those these days? i would guess right up there with the 109's used on the ovations.

you would need to change the drivers from the 3.29 pitch on your ovation to the 2.52 pitch for the 116 or even better yet, a 121". stock phazer drivers fit right on that shaft, 84-96. those are easy to find.

lastly, you need to make a tunnel extension of sorts. phazer st model will work well if youcan find one, but there are many other options available depending on how you want to present the sled in its final fit and finish. that ovation will be a much better sled with a 121 track, period. its a bit of a job, but well worth the effort in the end.
