Ok, I have a 2000 SXR 500, under hard acceleration I am getting a consistent almost ratcheting sound, like the track is jumping drivers, track is tight and straight. Also the sled is back shifting so hard it feels like the track is almost locking up. The chain is also properly tightened. Another issue I have, which I think has to do with toe out issue and completely separate, is darting....maybe suspension setup or alignment. Thinking tonight I'll pull the skid and check bearings and hyfax, am I on the right path, any tips or input would be great.

With the ski toe out, the toe out should be 1/2 inch greater on the front of the skis then the back! It keeps the sled from darting
Ok thanks for the info! Hit a big rock last year and had to replace a rod end, realized this weekend I never aligned it, thing was darting so bad it almost pitched me off! That's no problem, it's the ratcheting and crazy hard back shift that's got me wondering what's going on. Has to be a bad bearing somewhere.
