Novice at this clutching business so please bear with me.

I picked up an RX-1 secondary helix from one of the fellas here. I'm pretty sure I can handle the install as it seems pretty straightforward. On the machine, 3 bolts, R&R. With the exception of one thing. The wrap angle. Before I dig in, I figured I better ask.
I've looked all over this site and through all Turks posts, but I haven't seen anything on where to start with the wrap on an otherwise stock machine. Do I just put it where I found it on the helix I pull out, test, and go from there?

Thanks,
~G.D.

on mine at 60 degrees it ran at 8300,70 8500. slightly different helix and clutching, gearing. i found it much easier to pull secondary and rest it on 2 2by 4's then doin it on the sled. but yea i would start at 60 and test it

Thanks for the reply.
Kinda figured, but I figured I better ask just to be safe. I hope this thing is all it's cracked up to be. Not that this machine isn't close to perfect, but there's always room for improvement right?

OK.....I know I'm over-thinking things, and in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter, but will a helix swap like this affect mileage one way or another?

Just curious?
