I recently did a top end clean out and check up on my 99 srx 700, then got it all put back together. When i got it going the temperature light was flashing 1 long then 3 short and it keeps going as well. I figured this was just an indication of the airlock so i continually tried to get it out. After a couple burps over the span of a half hour, the light is still flashing the same. Unfortunately now the sleds back firing on me. Whats going on? As well can someone tell me the more effective process to remove this airlock as maybe I'm doing something wrong.

My manual says its a discontinuity or short of the water temp sensor is detected. Check your wiring in case it has a break or something. Best I could do

what is a "top end cleanout"? you didnt loose a bunch of coolant when you had it apart? the wiring to that temp. sensor is a problem possibly.

Ok thank you, and by the clean out I mean that I had taken the top end of the motor apart to inspect and clean any gunk, ended up replacing the rings too. Yes I did lose all the coolant as well

Last time I had this same flash code I remembered to plug the temp sensor back in (should have a green plastic plug end) and was all good!
