I have not needed to add oil to my '02 Viper (until now) that was purchased last March. The oil reservior contains oil that is red in color...I purchased the sled at auction so I have no way to verify what is in the tank..
Any thoughts on what oil this may be?...Are Amsoil or Klotz red? It has a red cast similar to GM Dextron trans oil...maybe a little more brown though.
I have always run all my Yammi's on Yamalube so I am not sure what to do here...add more red or drain and go with Yammi oil..or mix??
Thoughts??

Hopefully who ever sold it at auction didn't do a trans service and....gotta get rid of this old fluid some where......... I haven't heard of an oil you cant mix with another so in theory you should be okay to switch to what ever flavor you prefer.

just run it down low and add whatever oil you like.

Could be redline, ipone, clots, etc etc... Just top it up with whatever oil you prefer.

Thanks guys for the responses. I was thinking that mixing the oils would be OK but figured I would check on here to see if I was missing something that could be an issue. Viper is back on Yamalube
