I currently have motor out of my viper and my question is while it is out is there anything I should do to or check on the chassis?
wiring harness under motor........ untape it, check all wires and repair, retape up, then place harness in plastic convolute tubing(wire loom guard you can get ant any auto parts place) and put back in harness clips, if its not rubbed thru yet it will be soon, so mise well fix it forever now since engine is out of way!

So the wiring runs through under the motor in a specific location?
ya, theres only 1 harness there, its held down with little alum tabs bent over it, goes from center of sled clear up to the hood hings, unplug at hoof hinge and remove the harness all the way back to the oiltank, untape it and inspect each wire carefully for any insulation thats rubbed thru, tape up each wire indivually, then retape entire harness again. put convolute tubing on it and reintall with bend over tabs.
