what kinda top end are you guys getting on your red heads? im getting about 150 kph on my stock sxr

That's typical of what I've seen
What kind of a gearing and track do you have? On good conditions, I can get up to 140 kph on my MM, so I'm thinking yours should do at least 170.

on the river the dream-o-meter showed about 102mph. not sure how accurate that is though.

Ive hit 170 on my 97 slightly modded. Its been cut down alot since gearing down and going with a 1.875" lug track

Mine has pipes & I run 21/40 gears and a 144" 1 1/4" ripsaw. Top-end is usually around 103mph on the gps.

upon looking at the sled the next day, my belt had blown and lost the top drive cogs so with a new belt im sure it will pull around 160.

put a new belt on and got about 155, im over revving at top end though, 9000 rpm. what could i do to bring that down to 8500? would i get top end by getting it to 8500?

Clean your sheaves and give the belt a couple hundred miles to break in.
