Sxr oil light

Just picked up a 2000 sxr 700 for the ol lady for 500 dollars has 1735 miles on it with new track was not running
went through the carbs yesterday they where real bad it fired right up and runs great
only problem is oil light stays on steady it does flicker when up to speed oil tank is full
bad sender?
what can I check

I have the same exact problem.... did you end up replacing the sender? I think that's what I'm going to do.

yep my buds did same thing...replace the sender

Sender. Or just ignore it and make sure to fill it up at each fuel stop, which is what I do.

Put 100+ miles on yesterday and oil light was on the whole time. For sure needs a new sending unit as the oil was used normally and sled ran fine. Anybody every put one in? Easy job or hard?
