Hey all, i was just looking my suspension over and to my horror, i found that the bottom mount for the front shock was broke into a few peices. Now im in the process of taking the suspension out. I have 2 spare shocks (1 front and 1 rear) that came off an SX right in my cabinet to replace it with.
My dilema is... should i put viper shocks on instead??? or just the same stock one. I would only be putting them in the rear. Would this hurt my top end at all, where it makes the track balloon more??? Would it give me a loss in handling performance??
I just need some advice from SRX owners who have put viper shocks on their sleds. My brother put them all the way around on his SX and that thing was a blast to ride, but it seemed like it took away from the signiture proaction handling.
thanks... yama

do a set-up like a sxr and you will be happy. use stock sx front shock and put on a viper one on the rear of the skid. there are instructions on here on how to set it up with the transfer rods and limiter straps.

i think he means both rear.
yes it will ride better. look you skid over good. the front shock lower mount has a habit of cracking, then twisting and breaking the shock.
this mount is the only thing of any strength that holds your skid in paralell. if you have the ability reweld this and intall another arm going forward on the lower part with another bolt.
while your there install some grease fittings, shim your new bushings and install a new upper warm cross shaft.
