Sled has almost 9000 miles, about 500 with the "new" '04 Rev 1 inch track. Really missing having studs and would like to run 96 in the middle again with double backers in a 1.125 length but I'm not completely sure if there's enough clearance for that length? I know a 1.125 track will clear without studs but what about a 1 inch track with 1.125 studs? If not how long can I go? 1.115? This sled is for my girlfriend and she's a fairly aggressive rider. She's whining about no studs...can't really blame her. Will 1.125's work?
Thanks!

I think 1.075 would be safe. I ran 1.175 in my viper with a 1in hacksaw. never even nicked the heat exchanger.

I'm sure 1.075 would be safe but would they really be doing much? I'm running 1.080 studs in my viper with a 1inch hacksaw, (cuz I had them on hand already for another sled), and they don't really do alot. I'd like to get a little more bite with the 1.125 if i can get away with it? If you ran 1.175 without any problems I think I'll be fine with 1.125.
Thanks!

They will be fine. I run that length in mine with that exact track. I'm assuming you have all the tunnel protectors installed.
Good luck.
