just wondering how hot the handgrips get on 2000 SX sleds. The ones on my MM700 don't seem too hot. My old 95 Vmax 500 will literally burn your hands on high, but the MM won't keep my hands warm.

handwarmers are good and hot on the sx,sxr up till 2001, that was the first year they went to the new ign. system and the handwarmers run thru the cdi box. They dont put out heat till its over 4000rpm, they dont get no where near as hot as the old system did either. I remember my gloves literally smoking from the heat and moisture while riding my old sleds...lol

The kind of gloves you wear make a difference too. I used to wear big heavy leather gloves and the grips wouldn't heat throgh them and my hands would get cold.

There must be something wrong then because I'm using the same gloves, but feeling nothing much for heat. I can feel a warmth with my bare hands but definitely not like my 500. I know what you mean about the smoky gloves!
