i wanted to re install a stock silencer on one of my SRX's and now having trouble getting the pipes to seal and go far enough in on the manifolds, i also installed new donuts and loosened collars on other end to adjust, but wont go far enough in. this is a used silencer that i bought to replace the Hauck, i have done this a few times on my other sleds and never had trouble like this!! any ideas?? or tricks?? almost makes me want to put the hauck growler back on because its good and tight>

What year srx? What year can? Also sometimes those ends stick on your pipes. You can try and knock the backside and see if it moves closer. I thought mine was as far as it would go and was able to move it a little bit more and seal it up tight. But that being said if you have the wrong year can it might not seal right.

2oo1 SRX and the silencer has the adjustable flanges so would be off a 99-02 , i think the 98 silencer was the only different one. the silencer is missing the rubber pads would that make a difference? is it ok to use sealant on top of new donuts??
