Hey guys i replaced the top end on my 2001 srx last year with spi pistons and rings. I also used the swinderosa gasket kit and im only getting 110 psi on all three cylinders. This seems a bit low to me for a new rebuild. Any ideas?

Gauge and method will change numbers, it being 110 across all three is a good thing. Not sure about SPI gaskets specifically but aftermarket gaskets are usually a little thicker than OEM gaskets. A little thicker base gasket could raise head enough to possibley lower compression. Did you ever check the squish?
No I didn't are you talking about warped cylinders?

No, as far as how much room between the top of the piston and the bottom of the head at top dead center. Bigger volume = lower compression. You bend solder (I use the type for repairing radiators/plumbing) into an L. You stick the L threw the plug hole with the L part line up with the wrist pin. Rolling the motor over by hand when the piston comes up it will get tight/hard to turn as you are "squishing" the solder. When you pull it out there will be 2 flat spots, measure with a set of calipers. Search "squish"more than a few threads that will have specs. You should have the 8DN10 heads (came on 00+ sleds with a smaller dome)
My squish was .082

I guess I should go back to stock gaskets
