well at the start of our season i always do something stupid. last year i got stuck twice, year before that i put a hole in my belly pan. well this time i hit a big rock by accident and bent my right lower radius rod. :whine: figures... so we road a total of 61 miles and was a great ride. the rod is bent pretty bad but not bad to not ride! i tried looking up the part to get a new one but there discontinued. SO any one got a lower radius rod for a 2000 sxr 500?

better take some driving lessons there kid...lol..or get a sled that can go faster and glide over all these obstacles ..what are you gonna do next??Just kidding..better wait for more snow before riding..good luck
 
We might be blue. I was accualy turning around when I did indeed see it but it was mostly coverd in snow and dint think about it till the last second. Oh well guess we got to take her EASY. It's 40 her today an raining. Most of our snow will be lost but it's good for the lakes sense it's going to get back down around 5* tonight and stay like that all tomorrow. And there's a warm up at the end of the week. Will probably try bending it back. Didn't look fun to get the inner bolt out though!

I can relate. First ride out for my wife Saturday on her Polaris . Clips a boulder, I heard it and it didn't sound good. Bent trailing arm and lower radius arm. I would agree with kid, that inner bolt looks like a whole lotta fun.....
 
Its really not that bad. Pull exhaust and your there. Think its a 17mm under hood. outside by trailing arm 14mm. Pretty east peasy. Should be able to find some used ones easy enough. Ive straightened them myself though. Looks like a kink in that one of yours. That may not be so good. Find a used set for 20 bucks on sleaze bay. Or there has to be used parts guys up by you
 
Yah took a second look at it today. I does look like there is a slight crease in it :(. Been looking around for some used ones but havering a hard time finding blue ones. This seamed to not affect the handling to much so if I have to buy one of a different color I might just wait till the spring to take them all off and have them painted/powder coated white or something. If you guys come across one or have one let me know. :)

Have you searched the classifieds? Put a wanted thread up? Someone in this site will surly hook you up.
