03 viper hood keeps coming off the slot it is intended to sit in, did yamaha put out a fix for this?

This was an update for 02 Vipers to repair this problem. 2003 Vipers should have had this remedied at the factory during production

I have an 02' I took it in for the hood recall...still the biggest pain in the a$$ ever! Never stays in place 
...tried additional straps ...tried zip ties, but that was just more of So I leave it alone until I can figure some way to stop it....

had the update done on my 02, still pops out, and never sits right, may try extra straps. I too thought 03s were updated.
02 here, hood replaced under warranty, still does it, i am adding extra straps to the problem area... hope this fixes it...
