I would like to get a few suggestions on this. It starts and idles for a few seconds then pics up to around 1/3 throttle then almost dies and keeps repeating.
We thinking carb/fuel pump, bad pulse or something else? Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.

are you using the stock carb? or did you do the conversion?
Have you checked the fuel level in the sight tube?
Does the level stay steady (within reason) as the rpms fluctuate at idle?

Sound like a vacuum leak between carb and motor. check fuel filter, threaded cap that the fuel line comes out of on bottom of tank. just some ideas.
