My viper, once i get it started, does not want to idle down to 1800 rpm. It idles at around 3600-3800. I found some cracks in the manifold. Can this cause high idle?
thanks.

Could be a number of things, but the cracks would not do it on it's own. Fix your manifold up because once it's cracked it won't be long until a piece breaks out. Wow is that ever loud and does it ever kill the power. No way to get away from the noise either, I simply couldn't ride it. It does warm up the engine area well though.
As far as the high idle it likely stems from a lean condition. I would carefully inspect (and clean) your carbs before running it very far.
