I'm in need of a clutch puller for my '02 Viper. From what I've seen, there seem to be different types. One had a gradual beveled shaft and the other had a straight 90 degree step in the shaft. Here are both examples. I guess my question is, will either one of these work? The one with the bevel looks to be higher quality...

hopefully the links work...I'm in my phone. Please let me know! Thanks!

the second one looks like an EPI but it's not listed as one so..... EPI is the only aftermarket puller I would use. Plenty of stories of broken aftermarket pullers stuck in cranks here. I've got EPI's and never had problems with those. They are what my dealer sells.

You want to get a Yamaha puller the aftermarket pullers don't work or last as good.

Still wondering if they will both work or which one is the correct/better design...
Will this one work? I've heard good things about EPI.

X2 on the EPI. I've used the EPI puller without a problem for the last 10 years. You get what you pay for and you don't want to deal with the problems a cheapo clutch puller can give. EPI all the way.

I'm still lost on the YXRC YPX vs. YZRC vs. YPZ/YXZ clutches/pullers. Which one do I need for my Viper? Is the EPI part number PCP6??
