So during my little tree incident i broke the inside dash piece. When it broke it broke the tab off the inside of the fairing that the allen head screw for the windshield goes into broke off. Does anyone have a easy fix? Do you think super glue or epoxy would hold the tab back on with all the beating and vibration sleds take. I was even thinking of running a bolt and nut all the way through but then you would see the bolt head on the outside of the faring. Any ideas other then a new fairing would be awesome. chris

I have run a bolt for a long time now. If you ride off-trail very much you are going to roll your sled at some point, sometimes multiple times in one day. Just use a stainless button head (allen socket) bolt and it looks fine.

You could use a round head bolt too chris. You would have to hold it on the inside with a visegrip or something to tighten the nut. Would be a bit smoother on the outside though.

The ones I am referring to are round (I think they are called button head) . . .

Throw some paint on it after. Probably won't even know it's there.

depending on where your using the fasteners, i have found the plastic push darts to to come in handy. i keep an assorted supply on hand.
sharpy makes for a quick black on the button heads and its an easy touch up. you would be surprised how close the blue sharpy is to the oem paint.
