I've recently acquired an 02 Viper that has not been run for 4 or 5 years and has about 1/2 tank of old fuel in it. Obviously the carbs have to be gone through and the old gas siphoned out but should I do more? Because of the time it's been sitting I'm wondering if I need to flush the fuel tank, change the filter in the tank, pull the fuel pump apart, or anything else? I'm just trying to make sure no crap ends up in the carburetors. Any advice would be appreciated - thanks.

if i were you i would overhaul the pump, change fuel lines, change filter, carbs and flush the tank like you said.
you could try and get away with just flushing the tank and carbs, but that's risky and imo not worth it.
