Anyone make their own carb needle shims? I want to lower my needles by 0.2mm but the factory shims are huge at 0.4mm. I found some plastic polyester shim material that is 0.19mm and it's supposed to be oil resistant. Good idea to try it or no?

I use EGT needle shim kits that are color coded and different thicknesses

I took small steel washers and flattened them slightly with a hammer to the correct thickness.
The plastic ones you spoke about should work fine too.
