overheating

ive had my light come on lots this year. I always either find pow or shut it down. 02 viper btw. its quiet annoying. I lost a bit of coolant while removing my carbs in the fall and topped it up with water would that do it? im thinking about scratchers whats the bst I want to drill the rail has anyone done this? will lifting my needle help with this? eventually im going to put a rear heat x on it. what are some things to check out?

Make sure you keep trying to bleed the system of air before you go any further with investigating.

Put the rear cooler in right away and be done with it. I have one for sale as well as the speed sensor you were looking for
