Tore apart a friends 99 700 deluxe to repair the reverse gear last winter. ( he ran it low on gear lube and was noisy) It then sat till last month and I installed a used one. Went to pull it off the trailed today and it acts like the track was frozen. Wont move forward or reverse. What did I miss. This is not my first one . I used a dealer parts break down to put it back together and matched the parts. It all looked fine. Is the chain too tight? Hand tight and backed it off one turn.

Take a look at this I just posted it the other day http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?94637-Reverse-Chain-Case-Re-install-with-Pics
Can you get ahold of a track stand or some blocking to get the track up off the deck and try and roll the track over? If it has been sitting in less than ideal conditions you could have idlers with seized bearings or the track clips may be rusty and stuck to the hyfax. At the very least the track has taken a set in that position and needs to be run free on a stand just to get it back round.
