Does anyone have the part number for the flexible strip type vinyl coated wire clamps Yamaha uses in their sleds? I've looked over the parts diagram for my sled and first I'm having a hard time finding them on the parts diagram, and second, even for the ones I did, there's next to impossible to find online. I rerouted my main wiring harness from under the engine to over it. I'd like to use a couple of those, anchored to the front screws on the airbox, to support the harness. With these style, I can easily open them up to move the harness when pulling the airbox. I don't care if they are from Yamaha, as long as they're coated and won't rust.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I checked a few local hardware stores, nothing. I'll check Fastenal. I found something similar online, but it wasn't wide enough. I want to provide a lot of support on the wire. I wish I could just find the part number of the one used by the headlight and display harness on the left side of the sled, or the 2 under the engine. They seem to be missing from the parts diagrams.

Or look on McMaster Carr's website. I don't know what you are taking about exactly, do you have a picture?, or a link to Yamaha fiche?

Bingo! Thank you. The flexible loop fasteners. The ones in the sled are vinyl coated to protect the wire, but I have the harness in a split loom now for protection, so that should be ok. The problem I have with the Yamaha parts diagrams is that the descriptions are lacking, and the drawings aren't always accurate. So it's misleading at times. Let me dig into that site you sent and see what else they have. Thanks a million.

No problem. I'm a Buyer for a living. That's what I do. I'll work a few more minutes and search more sites. Is those rubber coated metal bendable wire ties, right? They have the center open and have a hole for a screw or bolt?

Hmm. Just looked more closely. Those are nylon, not metal, so not going to be as flexible as I want. I wish the darn Yamaha parts diagrams were a bit easier to decipher.

That's not it, but thank you for posting it. It has a screw hole at one end, and you can curl it around the wiring. I think I found the part number for the ones under the engine, but they have two holes. I want the one in front o the clutches, just a single hole. I'll use that site though to see if they have actual parts pictures. Thank you again though, for posting that, I really appreciate the help.

If these are what you're after, NAPA has a bunch of these cable clamps available in several different sizes too. Nylon, steel, rubber cushioned, wrapped, dipped, almost anything. Just like Grainger, but you don't need to buy large quantities.

Balkamp body hardware, Belden, and Midland are the product lines if you get a counter guy that looks at you funny when you ask.

The J clamp looks very similar, but not sure it's flexible like the Yamaha clamps. I've scoured the Yamaha parts diagrams and think I have the list of the 4 part numbers it could be, but can't find any pictures to confirm, and the illustrations on the parts diagrams are poor so it's hard to confirm.

I think it's one of these part numbers, but can't find a picture anywhere! I know they come in different lengths, and I'm looking for the longer one.
