So yesterday after putting fresh coolant in I started my sled up for the first time and ran it a bit on the stand to warm it up. I then let it sit overnight and today I then decided to bleed the air out. I read in my manual and in the tech section on here and raised the rear of the sled up a little and took out the bleeder screw under the seat. I then slowly started loosening the radiator cap to get the air bubbles out. Well the air bubbles started coming out, and did this several times and when it appeared the bubbles were almost gone, the coolant was then coming out like a guyser out of the bleeder hole. I mixed together about 6 quarts of coolant and went through a decent amount of coolant. So my ? is this normal, I know in the tech section it said to let the bubbles out of the bleeder hole while topping off the coolant bottle. So should I repeat this tomorrow how long/ how many times does it take to get all the air out?

Basically you want the rear of the sled high enough that any air from the heat exchangers moves to the rear where the bleeder screw is. You do not want it too high so that the coolant tank is below the bleeder screw. As soon as you have a steady stream of coolant instead or air, then you are good. You keep the coolant tank topped off to keep from letting more air back in. Air in the rest of the system should be trapped in the tank and released as pressure rises. I always like to use the hoses as hand pumps to burp the air into the tank as I fill it and before I fire it up.

Based on what you said, you should be good to go, unless you bled so much coolant off that you got air back in the exchangers.

ok I'd say that I had the track maybe 4 or 5 inches off the ground. hopefully I'll be good now but maybe thinking of trying it once more using the hoses like you had mentioned.

I've done it with the coolant tank below the bleeder a few times, with the cap off. I've bled it until a steady stream came out (I have a rear cooler)...and it's been good to go.

Alright these replys have given me peace of mind. I haven't taken the sled for a ride yet hopefully tomorrow. But I've ran it on my stand a few times and everything seemed fine, no warning lights or anything.
