Noticed they my throttle cable was lose the other day on my 500. I tightened it up to where there was a 1/4" or less of play in the cable after the throttle is pushed forward for TORS. I wondering if that's too tight or is it proper? Thanks.

You want about 2mm of play at the throttle level. Just before the cable starts pulling on the throttle, you should have 2mm between the handle and lever.

Hold the throttle to the bars, and grab the cam on the carb rack and see if it can still turn. If it's on the stop then you'll get full throttle.
