Hi
I want to change tracks and go with either a 1 3/4 or 1 1/2 inch track.
can i do this without going to 8 tooth drivers and what track can i have with the 8 tooth drivers?
Thnks Peter

You can fit a 1.5in track in a viper with the 9 tooth drivers. To do so you would have to take out the tunnel protectors and the front exchanger protectors too. I'm not sure about a 1.75in track. Think you would have to go to a 8 tooth driver for that.

either track fits with 9 tooth drivers,as mentioned youll need to remove the front cooler protectors, and i removed the tunnel protectors as well. I ran the 1.75, its a tight fit but you can squeeze it in there with 9 tooth drivers.
I eventually trimmed the lugs to a 1.5 because the 1.75 although gave awesome traction, it did hinder the speed noticeably more. Trimmed back it ran pretty dang good up top too, so I think the 1.5 is a better overall comprimise, at least for me it was.

1.75 will fit but Ive been told it wont evacuate the snow and ice that gets sucked up through. Id recommend gearing down a but with either track especially the 1.75. Since the drivers gota come out to change the track its easy enough to get some 8ts fitted and that will cause gearing to be lower anyways.
