I have a 02 viper that I bought new. I heard when I bought it it had a fuel pump freeze up problem. Until last weekend I never had an issue. Well it's time to fix the problem. My question is, is it the hole right in the middle of the pump that gets siliconed. Thanks in advance for the info.

Silicone the whole bottom so that water can't get under it. Myself, I used a rubber gasket. I don't think you want silicone completely in the vent hole because then it wouldn't be a vent hole.

easiest fix was to add a few washers under the pump on the studs, then theres a gap and the water can escape, worked great for the ones I fixed. no need to silicone pump then.
