I am trying to put my secondary back together on my 98 SRX 700 and I am running into a little bit of a problem. Is there suppose to be a bushing of some kind that goes between the secondary and the bearing that supports the shaft? I do not remember there being anything when I took the secondary off but it seems like there has to be something to space the secondary out so that it lines up with the primary. I have atttached a picture of the assembly is part number 8 and or 28 what I am missing to space the secondary out so that it is inline with the primary?
Thanks

number 28 should be the spacers that go between the secondary and the jackshaft bearing.
Number 8 I believe is the bushing that goes into the sliding sheave and number 28 is the shim stack that help centers the secondary.

Thats what I was thinking but it seems like the secondary would need about a 1/2 inch of stack up in order to line up with the clutch and by the looks from the picture I added it doesn't seem like those three spacers would provide the correct stack up and everything that would effect the stack up and alignment is stock
alot of times those spacing washers hang on the secondary and fall of when your not looking. those are used to maintain the offset from the primary.
right or wrong, i prefer to have at least one shim washer so the secondary doesnt ride right on the bearing. just a little cushion of protection so the clutch isnt rubbing the rubber bearing seal. i just did one after a re-alignment where i used a thinner washer to make the correct offset.

I think My SRX has 2 or three spacers, that secondary should be able to move a little back and forth on the shaft.
