Hi, I'm rebuilding my Vmax 600 -96 engine. Yesterday when I cracked the crankcase in half I came across issue where few crankcase bearing dowels or what they are called are just barely above the surface of bearing bed.
I was just wondering if it's a common issue or not and am I lucky that none of those bearings havent spinned ruining the case?
Yep I'm getting new dowels, but how the hell I get those old ones out!
Here's the pictures

When I removed mine I put a small nut over the pin, then mig welded the nut to the pin. Let cool and simply twisted them out.
