So I cleaned my carbs a while ago and I set the fuel screws to 2 1/4. There support to be 17/8. Everytime I get off the throttle and it comes down to idle it sounds like it slightly backfires. Like its loading up the expansion chamber and piping it. Would this be because im so much dont richer in the bottom?

Really shouldn't be any need to go more than two turns out on the fuel screws. Adjust em' back to two turns, set your idle at 1400 and see how it goes. Are your pilot jets and circuits nice and clean? What do you have your needles set at also?

I set them back to 1 7/8 and its still doing it. Its been doing it almost all season you think a plug would die if it was right? Pilots are spotless. I run a little stabilizer every other tank helps clean it.
