Hello members, been searching 50 pages for the wire in which to hook up handle bar heaters? Only one guy said he used the lighting wire, but I am wondering I can use the wire coming out of the voltage regulator(orange)which goes to the kill switch? It tests voltage from 10-12 while running.I don't know if I want to hook to the lighting coil but if this works on these old sleds I guess it'll work!Any suggestions please.Oh sure sled is a '80 340 enticer.

Lighting coil wire (yellow) is where you want to go. Should be there at the base of the bars. Just tap in to power the grips but fuse the supply.

Yes this I guess is the one opsled.Logical one, just noticed that when the yellow wire(lights) is used the lights will dim when the heaters are activated, just wonder if these will put to much load on the lighting coil thats all I was concered of.

They may dim as the output is marginal for warmers. Later sleds that came with warmers had more juice and an extra wire (yellow/black stripe).
Back in the day we hooked them up on early Exciters and Enticers without issue.
Should be OK. Just make sure you fuse the warmer supply. A short could damage the lighting coil.
