Hello all. I had purchased a 2002 viper last fall. The sled has an m-10 in it out of a polaris. Love the sled but it's in bad need of a track. I have a line on a brand new 2" lug . I am under the impression it will not fit. I was just wondering if i could shave it or if there are any other options. The price of the track is really cheap btw.

Hello again. Can anyone tell me if I can run a 1.5" track in my viper with an m-10?

The drivers are the problem. With the stock 9 tooth drivers, 1-1/4" needs the protectors removed to fit. To fit 1-1/2" track in there you would need to go 8 tooth drivers at the very least and I am not sure on the tunnel protector clearance even then.

You can fit a 1.5 lug no problem and keep the 9 tooth drivers. You just have to remove the front heat exchanger protectors and tunnel protectors. You will love it, I'm running a 1.5 on one of my vipers and it hooks up really nice.

Are you planning on running studs? That's another factor to consider. To answer your earlier question yes you can shave or trim down track lugs. I have read on here of a few guys doing it with a good sharp razor knife. They say the taller lugs have a thicker/stronger base due to it being thicker for the taller lug.

trim the challenger down to 1.75 and remove protectors

Ok thanks for the advice. I will not be studding this track.
I actually got a 2" lug to fit with just removed protectors and 8 Tooths.. But i do have the standard PRO action skid. Dont now if that has more clearance Than the m10? However its à tight fit and sometimes in the pow i can hear it rubbing on top of the tunnel. I run My track loose with anti Ratchets.
try to install it, if it rubbes just put the sled on a stand and cut the lugs?
