Recently got a set of HID's from a friend for free.. they are H4 bulbs and its a high and low kit.. just wondering if anyones got HID's on their viper and if so where did you get the 12v power.... i dont have electric start, so no battery. Now i have installed my heated visor plug in already on the headlight circuit as mentioned on these forums. would it be to much load if i took my power from that same wire??

Cannot be done without a external battery to power the ballast. Easy enough to put one in and they are awesome. Run them on my vipers and love them. I do have electric starts though. You can even wire up your battery to charge also. I don't know how bit its been done, a search for HID should lead you in right direction.

The power has to be DC and the sled runs pretty much ac. Theeir are a few spots to pull DC but no one got it to Work for hids from what I've heard.

for a battery just get a cheap walmart AGM battery for a atv or something (agms with stand the cold better) and for dc power there should be a plug with a cap on it for the eletric start option. correct me if im wrong, my sxr hs one. the solid red wire has constant 11- 13v dc power.
