I replaced the stock mikuni butterfly carbs on my 95 phazer II with two Mikuni VM round slide 38mm carbs and installed a regular two to one throttle cable. I removed all the oil injection and just use mix fuel. I am not getting full throttle with the stock Phazer II lever. I was thinking the exciter II throttle block would accomplish full throttle with the round slides if it has more pull distance? I found that some of the Exciter's had a pulley type block attached between the throttle side and the carbs. Refer to pic. Was this used to change the ratio of the pull to acheive full throttle or what was this for? Also, will the exciter throttle block give me full throttle with the VM38 carbs with the normal 2 to 1 cable that I have already?

I believe they used that pulley block to make the throttle operation easier. IMO i would put the oil injection back on and use an exciter throttle block and lever. you would also need an exciter oil pump cable as well. The throttle AND oil pump cable attach to the exciter block and lever.
Ok, that makes sense that it would be used to make for easier operation. I was wondering if the pulley is off round a bit or something to give more pull for the throttle lever throw. I guess if the Exciter lever pull is longer than the Phazer, I should get full throttle with it. Be nice to know if someone had tried this before.

When put flatslides on my Phazer II I used cables and throttle block from a 92-96 Vmax

Vmax flat slides require you to do that. Round slides would be the set up I recommended. When put flatslides on my Phazer II I used cables and throttle block from a 92-96 Vmax
