exactly!!!!! so i disconnected the obnoxious alarm and made use of the now unused wires, win win.

Its for reverse and that end will have power all the time. Its even a clean DC power source.

Steveg yes there's enough there. Bucks I hooked mine in to the brake light switch plug under neath the bars. Just pull the pins out of the connecter and wrap your wires around them. It's 12 AC but your shield can run off both. Just less wire to deal with. And dryer. It should be a blue wire.
