I got out for the first time on my mountain max this year. It's a whole new animal with the 151 on it, it rides so much better and when I'm in a sidehill the sled feels so much more planted. Before I would always feel like I was going to wash out no matter how far forward I could get on the running boards.
Well I wasn't in the deepest snow, it wasn't over the hood but was coming up over the bumper and up the hood. When I would carve to the right and get the hood into the snow it was like I was shoveling snow under the hood. I have an aftermarket can so I don't have the big hot box there any more requiring the vents to cool it. To get through a big ride out in the woods tomorrow in some REALLY deep snow without filling it up with snow I covered the vents with some aluminum tape. I will make some aluminum covers to rivet under the hood next week. This should keep the snow out and help me build more consistent power by keeping more heat in the pipe.

Just cover the mesh with a fine material so it will still breath and keep temps down as well as keep snow out

Had my first ride this weekend. Had a little oops and got into something bad on a bad line choice and cleaned 2 lugs off my new track. Pretty pissed off about it at the time then I started reading and found out that E6000 does pretty reliable track repairs. I cleaned up what was torn the best I could so as not to cause any more damage and made some little dams to keep the stuff from running everywhere and put it on and let it set. It was cured pretty good with a heat lamp out in the cold. I went back to work today and it has 2 weeks to finish kicking off. the gule cures by solvent evaporation not temperature cure with exposure to air so I should be ok at any temp for the final cure.
Got my vent covers made too. I believe the side vent was the culprit and letting most of the snow in during a right hand side hill. The big piece is riveted through the mesh with back up washers, so it can easily be removed by drilling the rivets out.
