86 phazer mod sled

I have an ambition for a phazer mod sled. My main concern is rear suspension such as a skid and track length and lug size to have fun in light pow and is trail friendly. I'm wondering what my max lug size is. My second concern is carburetor. The butter flys have been said to burn down with aftermarket parts like a pipe. I've heard of replacing them with slide carbs from a v max or exiter 570. I would love to hear all advice bout my build. Any comment is appreciated.

what are you plans for the motor ??.........there is nothing wrong with butterfly carbs with a pipe as long as they are set up right I trail ride one with a pipe and never have a issue .....tracks well this I will tell ya they will only clear a 1.080 stud so make your choice from there and at 1.080 that can still do damage a 1 inch stud is perfect for trail riding with a .920 track

For the motor i was thinking venting the hood clutch and exhaust side panels. also probably a dg performance pipe. also performance reeds have said to increase a little power but noticeable. is that worth the 70 or so dollars or do they all perform relative and I'm just paying an extra fifty something dollars for a brand name. also i have heard that a heavier clutch spring could help. and lighter clutch weights should be changed for the pipe. as for track i have seen a 2 inch lug put on a Phazer. would that have to do with axel relocation or suspension relocation? for studs i probably wont run them because i like to ride in my yard and on local trails so studs might put on to much presser for local riding on shallow snow. so what is the max lug just for the rubber track 1.080? Also another question... what is the correct riser i should buy, or should i fabricate a plate and post. also what cables or cable extensions should i get to accomplish a 4 to 6 inch rise of handle bar height. as for the gauge pod i will probably relocate on the riser because of mechanical gauges and wiring and the light height.
