Head measurement

Can any one tell me what a 98 700 stock head measures from top of bolt hole to bottom of head? Trying to figure out how much heads have been cut from previous owner. I have an 01 srx that i have milled .030 and my friends 98 srx reads 20 or 30 more psi on compression tester. Kinda curious if the thing is safe to drive on trail on premium cuz it also has a timing key in it.
 
I would not worry about taking the measurement in that way. Problem being you do not know if the squish band or pocket have been cut or not. I would install the head on the engine and measure the installed head volume. This is the only way to be certain.

This with your original post doesn't make any sense. What are you trying to verify you paid for? If your verifying the .30 on your 01 numbers from a 98 wont matter as 98-99 heads have different CC than the 00-02 heads have. Did you pay for your friends 98 mill work?
 
Is it the whole head thats different or just the chambers? But ya i was referring to my 01 next time i pull heads off i want to mic them to see if they cut off what i told them to.
