Got a 2002 v max 600 and I noticed a clanking noise at the secondary clutch but the play is in the gear chain case behind the reverse gear.what might this play be.help me im going on a trip this Tuesday.

Is it rotational play? There is quite a bit of slop from the reverse gear in the chaincase. Freaked me out after I installed reverse on my Viper this season till I popped the cover off and realized.
Yes the reverse models have quite a bit of play, but be sure to check you chain tension.

Like Ding stated. Make sure your chain tension is good. That'll end a trip real quick.
