Phazer to vmax skid

I've read a few posts about skid upgrades on the phazers. It looks like the thing to do. I have the chance to pick up a track and skid out of a 96 Vmax 600 for free. Is it worth my time to do a retrofit and replace the 116 on my phazer with that skid? If so will the heavier skid and track really bog down the ole fan cooled power plant? This sled gets about 400 hard trail miles a year so I am not necessarily looking to turn it into a barkalounger.

nope not worth the time and the skid will not fit it is way too wide even with machining it still will not fit right ....if you want to go 121 on this thing get a 87-90 exciter skid or 90-97 PHAZER II skid that would be the easiest

thats what I needed to know. Thank you. I also heard you could move the stock skid back 2.5" and go to 121? Is this a good idea or am I better off with the actual 121" skid?
