Ok guys I have a 02 srx and I put her in the radar run and me and my dad took home 1st and 2nd place but anyway it got thinkin that I want to make it more of a racer than a trail sled I know that I'm gunna have to make a lot of adjustments cuz she's bone stock just a triple stinger and trods no studs even
open to all your guys advise thanks in advance👍

Congrats, now put the stock muffler back on, work on clutching and gearing and stud it. Done, that's all there is to it. Clear off the mantel for more trophies.

What do you have in the clutching to hit 117 ? How long of a run to hit that speed?

Oh that was not a radar event, that was just playing around on a lake with friends. Maybe 1/2 mile run. But my setup is a Hauck stage 4 clutch kit and one tooth bigger on my top gear, and the most important mod……… maintenance. I like to note also that that was also on packed snow, never got a chance to run on ice, but I don't think my slides could take that lol.

with what I have now I believe the track was about 1500 feet or so spinning for the first 100 feet or so I hit 104 on GPS. Again not an event just trying out clutching with a bender can.

That's how you learn what works and what doesn't. We would sit out on the lake for a day and just tinker with clutches, gearing, track tension, between our 3 SRX's, a piped 700 SX, an 06 Apex. Always trying to find that 1/2 sled advantage or another mph. Those were good days.

Another tip we found if your looking for top speed is run your track on the tight side. You'd be surprised how a loose track kills top end.

That would have to be a guys day out. Hard to have when the wives love riding just as much just not the ice..lool
