sliders

hi everyone . looking for a set of frame sliders for a 79 EX440 > I got a donor skid but both frame sliders are shot . looking for both sides . can anyone steer me in a direction to find some they are obsolete in Yam fish > or possibly and other sleds that will cross reference to use em

Not sure what you mean by "frame sliders"? The long slides/hyfax on the bottom of the rails on the suspension?, or the top (small white) slides on the top of the rear of the suspension?....if it is the long ones on the bottom of the rails I have a couple of new sets here, or there is a guy selling them on Flint CList for $5 each and always replace in pairs, never just one....if they are the white ones on top of the suspension, I bought my last set on Ebay.

You can get the bottom slides/hyfax at just about parts retailer, you might even try Motor City Power Sports in Flint....if they don't have 'em in stock they can probably get them.

They will have to be cut to length, not a big deal. Most have to be cut anyways.

if you get them from that guy in Flint, make sure they have the correct profile.

john on the Yamaha microfish they are called sliders 13 and 14 part numbers are Left > 8A5-47412-00-00 and right is > 8A5-4713-00-00 thses are the mounts where you adjust the track with the bolt . i got a donor skid frame and the left one is broken and the right isnt much better i got the numbers from Yamaha parts nation and they call them frame sliders lol i did see one on e bay but it was almost 50 bucks counting shipping was just wondering if anyone out here had a set resonably priced . my sleds running perfect and i got the tunnel protectors in tonight . i was just gonna have an x tra skid

you are talking about the skid pads on top of the rear axle frame ....talk to your local dealer they are still available all i have left are some nice used ones we are having problems getting the kimpex ones right now i usually have at least 10 of them in stock

nutz > in the yamaha micro fish at Parts nation they are under suspension and called > Track,sliders 1 and 2 but they are labled 13 and 14 and part numbers are left >8A5-47412-00 and Right is > 8A5-4713-00. saw one on e bay but was pretty pricey plus i would like to replace both for a spare Track slide. kinda confusing describing them but they are on the Fish as 13 and 14 . thanks guys for the help

ok now that I look at the fiche I see the rear axle frame is what we call them let me take a look to see what I have for spares they are used on all the exciters and srx's 78-79

cool Nutz if you have both sides but being they are hard to come bye i dont wanna cut you short either. i saw one on e bay but it was pretty pricey including shipping but i'm sure eventually more will pop up and its for a spare skid anyways. my exciter is up and running with new tunnel protectors in it . i picked up a donor sled that was pretty wiped out but it did have a real good motor and other parts and i got the whole thing for 150.00 but man O man was this sled neglected > track shot , front drive axle bearing gone and housing wiped out but hey i did get alot of x-tra stuff such as engine both clutches ski's not too bad of a seat but needs recovering and the skid thats not too bad except for both of those track sliders are waisted but all in all not too bad a purchase . it has a srx hood on it thats not to bad either . the person was trying to clone it but musta been a kid doing it lol heck they even had a dirt bike expansion chamber on it lol but engine runs good > starts on 2 nd pull faithfully

thnx Ron and yeah the 8E3-47412-00 are not the same sure do look close but i am thinking they are just alittle bit shorter> i wish they would fit i found a set of those for 40 bucks but no good to me lol
