Hey guys
I'm looking to replace the track on my venture. I'm looking at putting a taller lug track over stock height. The sled is used for trail riding but the area I am riding in experiences high winds and with a lot of flat land which results in high drifts of deep snow. I also need to go across a few fields to reach the trail. I'm looking for better deep snow performance over the stock lug height to avoid getting stuck as this sled is no light weight when you have to pull it free. I won't be studding this track. Also what are your track model recommendations.
Thanks for the help.

I did the same thing. The stock track sucked. Plus I always run studs.
I bought a used doo .96 track and studded it with 108 studs.
The stock track was either a half inch or maybe 3/4" , but it was bad, no traction even on groomed trails. I know the studs I used are about a 1/4" penetration, and I kept the stock drivers. So you can easily run a 1.25" track and that will help a lot over the stock super low lug track. 1.35 might fit, but you'll probably be close, but then again you won't need heat exchanger protector like I need with studs.

I know I'll probably get flamed for this but here goes. For a 97 Venture 600 that ride in the conditions stated above, I'd put a good ol 1 inch Durasport on it. Good trail manners and good in powder as we'll.I'm looking at putting a taller lug track over stock height.
