Hi, I'm restoring my 1988 Exciter. I have two engines Mine and another one that I bought which was suppose to be good but turned out 1 cylinder blown! But it was the opposite one of the one blown on mine. So anyways, the replacement engine also had a burnt up Ignition wire. So I decided to take mine and put it on this engine. What I noticed on BOTH engines is that the stator was not aligned the way it says to align them in the service manual. I have attached how both engines where before I removed. They were both shifted to the right.
