What is your preferred track lug height ?
I have run a 1" studded (144 down the center) preditor for the last number of years, I just cannot hook up on groomed trails or beat down lakes like the newer sleds.
I am seriously considering a rip saw 1.25 lug track and no studs to gain back my top end I lost slinging all that iron around.
What are you guys running or recommend ?

I have a 1.25" lug track with 1.5" studs on my 99 srx 700. Not sure the make of the track or how many studs. It has quite a few. It seems to me like it hooks up like crazy especially on a groomed trail. I am not an expert as I have only rode a few different sleds but I do know if I go on an ice packed road it only spins for a second and then it goes hard. I hope this helps.

I have a 1" Camo Carve on my 01 with 144 1.075 studs down the middle, the studs I just put in last Friday and only have one run on them but I'm really impressed with the track. My 98 has an older Camo Predator .910 lug track,it's still made but called a trail runner or some such thing now.Once it wears out I'll be going to another Carve on it.With the 1.25" track the general recommendation is to change the drive cogs for more room against the front heat exchanger.

I have the ripsaw on my 99 srx and i was very impressed with it. If you don't have the adjustable transfer rods BUY THEM!!! they are the cats ***. you wont be dissapointed with this track. im kind of a fat bastage and i can dial mine in to wheelie or fishtail in a matter of seconds. they are well worth the money.

I run a 1" kimpex ultimate traxtion that is pre drilled for 144 studs down the middle but I haven't put any in yet. I love this track better than my stock one in loose snow and it hooks up great on the trail. Its supposed to be a 1" track but the inside lugs seem like there a little taller. I would buy another one for sure.

Can you put a a 1.25 track on a stock 2001 SRX with no modifications? I purchased a 1.25 Ice Ripper for my Apex and its still in the box. I am sending my 2001 SRX I just purchased with only 591 original miles to CB Performance to get the engine polished, head work, etc....I was just wondering if this will work, if so I will take them the track and just buy another one for the Apex. Any feed back would be appreciated

I run a 1.25 ripsaw in my 99 as well. didnt have to go to 8 tooth drivers, but I did remove the stud guards on the front rad. I dont run studs
The hookup on hard pack is awesome. They make a 1" version too, called Hacksaw, that may work with studs with no driver change etc
